This position will support our newly created team working with our US Federal clients. In this role, Darktrace is looking for a bright, tenacious, and articulate operations engineer to work in an exciting, fast-moving environment at the cutting edge of cyber security technology. Some professional experience working with Linux systems and configuration management is essential, with exposure to Infrastructure as Code preferred.

Key Duties & Responsibilities of the role:

  • Supporting deployment of code written by a UK development team into secure cloud offerings.
  • Handling technical support escalations and troubleshooting Linux service issues
  • Liaising between the development team and federal when issues arise
  • Ensuring customers’ deployments are running smoothly and efficiently
  • Sharing findings to help foster the growth of a technical team

 Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform
  • Experience using configuration management such as Ansible
  • Experience in a devops or similar role within AWS/Azure/GCP
  • Analytical skills to solve problems and support the devops teams
  • Knowledge of the mechanisms of networking in physical and cloud environments
  • Ability to self-learn, research and implement 3rdparty systems.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot services on Linux over an ssh connection
  • Ability to write and modify shell scripts
  • Working understanding of key Cloud services related to VM management
  • An understanding of general networking and cyber security technologies (desirable)
  • A scientific, computer science or engineering degree with a GPA of 3.0 or above
